QUETIAPINE SR 100MG TABLET
successfully treats bipolar illness and schizophrenia symptoms. It
includes the atypical antipsychotic quetiapine. It works by inhibiting
certain receptors in the brain (dopamine (D2), serotonin 2A (5HT2A))
that cause aberrant mood fluctuations and mental issues. As a result, it
alleviates both positive and negative symptoms associated with
schizophrenia and bipolar illness.
A. Drug - Drug interactions:
Before taking QUETIAPINE SR 100MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
1. medicines used to treat HIV infection (Ex. lopinavir, indinavir)
2. medicines used to treat fungal infections (Ex. voriconazole, itraconazole)
3. medicines used for bacterial infections (Ex. erythromycin or clarithromycin)
4. nefazodone (a medicine used to treat depression)
5. medicines used to treat fits (Ex. carbamazepine, phenytoin)
6. medicines used to lower blood pressure (Ex. telmisartan, atenolol)
7. medicines used to induce sleep (Ex. phenobarbital, pentobarbital)
8. medicines used to treat edema (Ex. furosemide, chlorthalidone)
9. medicines that cause constipation (Ex. ferrous sulphate, sertraline)
10. medicines that affect heartbeat and muscle movements (Ex. atropine, dicyclomine)

Take QUETIAPINE SUSTAINED RELEASE 100MG TABLET as directed by your doctor. Take the medication with a glass of water. Do not chew or mash the medication. QUTIPIN 100MG TABLET should be taken one hour before meals or before going to bed.
Depending on your age, body weight, and medical
state, your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and length of
therapy for you. If you stop taking QUTIPIN 100MG TABLET without seeing
your doctor, you may have withdrawal symptoms such as problems sleeping,
nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, irritability, weight gain, or increased
appetite.
