QUETIAPINE 50MG TABLET |
QUETIAPINE 50MG TABLET includes Quetiapine, a medication of the Antipsychotics class. It is employed in the treatment of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and depression (major depressive disorder). Bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression) is a mental illness characterised by alternate periods of mania (a sudden unusually high level of happiness) and despair.
Schizophrenia is a mental condition in which you hear or feel things that are not there, think things that are not real, or have uncommon feelings of suspicion, anxiety, confusion, guilt, tenacity, or depression. A major depressive disorder is a mental condition characterised by chronic sorrow or depression, as well as a loss of interest in activities, which can interfere with everyday living.
Quetiapine is an atypical antipsychotic. It acts by modulating the activities of certain brain chemicals (dopamine and serotonin) in the brain that causes mental disorders. As a result, it improves the positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
It is used to treat:
1. bipolar disorder
