PVATIC DSR

PANTOPRAZOLE GASTRO-RESISTANT 40MG & DOMPERIDONE 30MG(AS PROLONGED RELEASED PELLETS) CAPSULE

PVATIC DSR (Pantoprazole Sodium Gastro-Resistant & Domperidone Prolonged Release Capsules I.P. is a combination medication containing Pantoprazole Sodium, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), and Domperidone, a prokinetic agent. Pantoprazole works by reducing the production of stomach acid, helping to relieve symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, and irritation of the esophagus caused by excess acid. By lowering acid levels, it also aids in healing ulcers in the stomach and intestines. Domperidone complements this action by increasing the movement of the stomach and intestines, helping food pass more efficiently through the digestive tract. This dual action not only eases discomfort but also reduces nausea, bloating, and vomiting associated with acid-related digestive disorders. Patients generally find relief from burning sensations, regurgitation, and gastric fullness while using PVATIC DSR.

PVATIC DSR is prescribed for the treatment of a variety of acid-related gastrointestinal conditions. These include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where stomach acid frequently flows back into the esophagus causing irritation; peptic ulcers, which are sores in the lining of the stomach or intestines; and dyspepsia or indigestion, characterized by bloating, nausea, and stomach discomfort. It is also used for patients experiencing delayed gastric emptying, where food moves slowly through the stomach, leading to nausea, vomiting, or a feeling of fullness. This medication is suitable for adults who require both acid suppression and improved gastrointestinal motility.

The usual dose for adults is one capsule of PVATIC DSR daily or as prescribed by your doctor. Take the capsule whole with water, preferably 30 minutes before a meal, and do not crush, chew, or break it to maintain the integrity of the gastro-resistant and prolonged-release components. The duration of treatment will depend on the condition being treated and your doctor’s instructions. Always follow the prescribed schedule and complete the full course to achieve the best results.
