MIRTAZAPINE 30MG TABLET

The medication Mirtazapine, which is an antidepressant, is included in MIRTAZ 30MG TABLET. Depression in adults is treated with it. A mood condition called depression is characterised by a constant sense of melancholy, a loss of interest, a sense of shame or worthlessness, trouble paying attention, a lack of energy, suicidal thoughts, and sluggish or unusual body movements.

You can take MIRTAZ 30MG TABLET with or without food. The MIRTAZ 30MG TABLET may take up to 1-2 weeks to begin functioning, and it may take up to 4 weeks of therapy before you start to feel better. To get better results, take MIRTAZ 30MG TABLET for the amount of time prescribed by your doctor.

If you have any liver, kidney, or cardiac issues, let your doctor know before using MIRTAZ 30MG TABLET. Additionally, you should warn your doctor if you have any of the following conditions as a precaution: jaundice, diabetes, glaucoma, low blood pressure, a history of fits, suicidal thoughts, or other mental diseases (such as manic depression or schizophrenia).

Avoid using MIRTAZ 30MG TABLET at the same time as other antidepressants (MAO inhibitors) without first seeing your physician. Before using MIRTAZ 30MG TABLET if you are expecting or nursing, talk to your doctor.

The most frequent adverse reactions of using MIRTAZ 30MG TABLET are tremors, anxiety, disorientation, weight gain, headache, constipation, dry mouth, and joint and muscular discomfort. If any of these adverse effects worsen, speak with your doctor.

COMMON:-

1. increased hunger, weight gain

2. drowsiness or sleepiness

3. headache, dizziness

4. feeling dizzy while standing up

5. feeling tired

6. dry mouth

7. shakiness or tremor

8. nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation

9. skin rash or eruptions

10. joint pain, muscle pain or back pain



Dosage Forms :- Tablet, Dispersible Tablet

A. Drug-Drug Interactions:

Before taking MIRTAZ 30MG TABLET, inform your doctor, if you are taking any of the following medicines such as:

1. other medicines used to treat depression such as MAO inhibitors (Ex. moclobemide, tranylcypromine, selegiline), SSRI (venlafaxine, duloxetine)

2. medicines used to treat control abnormal heart rhythm (such as digoxin, amiodarone)

3. medicines used to treat migraine headaches (such as L-tryptophan, sumatriptan, zolmitriptan)

4. tramadol, morphine (medicine used for pain relief)

5. linezolid (an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infection)

6. lithium, St. John’s Wort, nefazodone (medicines used to treat depression)

7. methylene blue (a medicine used to treat high levels of methaemoglobin in the blood)

8. medicines used to reduce anxiety and to induce sleep (such as alprazolam, midazolam, diazepam, clonazepam)

9. medicines used to treat schizophrenia (such as olanzapine)

10. medicines used to treat allergic conditions (as cetirizine)
