Citicoline Tablets IP 500 mg

CVAC-500 (Citicoline Tablets IP 500 mg) contains citicoline (CDP-choline), a neuroprotective compound that supports brain-cell membrane repair and healthy neurotransmission. After ingestion, citicoline provides choline and cytidine, which help rebuild phospholipids in damaged neurons and enhance the synthesis of acetylcholine, a key chemical for memory, attention and learning. It also supports cerebral energy metabolism and reduces free-radical–related injury. When taken as prescribed, many patients experience gradual improvement in alertness, concentration and cognitive efficiency. Occasional effects such as headache, nausea, stomach upset, restlessness or insomnia can occur and are usually mild and transient.

The usual adult dose is 500 mg once or twice daily, taken at the same times each day or as directed by the physician. Swallow the tablet with water; it may be taken with or without food. Dose and duration depend on clinical response and your doctor’s advice. Do not discontinue without medical guidance.
