Uses of ATORVASTATIN & EZETIMIBE TABLETS

Lowering of an increased level of cholesterol.

ATORVASTATIN & EZETIMIBE TABLETS is a medicine of the HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) and sterol absorption inhibitor family. The main purpose of ATORVASTATIN & EZETIMIBE TABLETS is to treat elevated cholesterol levels. Dyslipidaemia (high cholesterol level) is the accumulation of harmful fat (lipid) levels in the blood. There is usually a high amount of low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or bad cholesterol), triglycerides (TG), and a low level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL, or good cholesterol) with this syndrome.

ATORVASTATIN & EZETIMIBE TABLETS is a combination of two medications: atorvastatin (statins) and ezetimibe (sterol absorption inhibitor). Atorvastatin aids in the reduction of cholesterol production in the blood vessels (arteries) of the heart, brain, and other regions of the body. They reduce the risk of future heart illnesses such as heart attacks and strokes by reducing cholesterol levels. Ezetimibe, on the other hand, is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor that prevents cholesterol absorption from the intestines. They work well together to reduce cholesterol in your body.
