Drug Warnings
Biotor-EZ (Atorvastatin & Ezetimibe Tablets) should be used with caution in patients with liver disease, kidney problems, thyroid disorders, or a history of muscle pain or weakness. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption during treatment, as it may increase the risk of liver damage. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use this medication without medical advice.
Drug–Drug Interactions: Biotor-EZ may interact with certain medicines such as antibiotics (clarithromycin, erythromycin), antifungal agents (ketoconazole, itraconazole), anticoagulants (warfarin), immunosuppressants (cyclosporine), and other cholesterol-lowering agents (fibrates, niacin). These combinations may increase the risk of muscle problems or alter drug effectiveness. Always inform your doctor about all medications and supplements you are taking.
Drug–Food Interactions: Avoid consuming large quantities of grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking Biotor-EZ, as it can increase Atorvastatin levels in the blood and raise the risk of side effects. Maintain a healthy diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol to enhance treatment effectiveness.
Drug–Disease Interactions: Patients with liver disease, kidney dysfunction, thyroid disorders, or excessive alcohol use should take Biotor-EZ cautiously. Regular monitoring of liver enzymes and lipid levels is recommended during therapy.
